We are thrilled to be working with The Wizard Keen of Wonder Quest to deliver sessions to our groups. Adam is a master Minecraft producer and map builder, has written books about Minecraft, worked with Stampy Longnose, produced a massive build project for King Charles (!) and we are very excited to work with him.
We were and truly honoured to be accepted on to the Power to Change Discovery Fund this year. A six month open working programme to discover and develop a piece Community Tech that will benefit our wider community. An incredible research and development opportunity and chance to work with, share and learn from other organisations. Read more about this and our idea here
I approached my old university, to recruit for Computer Science student to bring their expertise to the Community Tech Project. I was delighted to get a call from Senior Lecturer Herb Daly, who took time to listen to what it was all about, offer some excellent advice and shared the opportunity with his students. I spent a huge amount of time at university in the computer labs playing MMPORGs and chatting when the internet was in its infancy in education. I feel like a dinosaur now!
We would like to introduce you to Friend to MineMania, the master artist and awesome good egg FunTazer!
FunTazer creates the most incredible, artistic interactive builds. This year, she created a HUGE Candy Cane Express railway that takes you through a compilation of her Christmas builds. And she has so kindly allowed MineMania to bring this to our server for the festive period. She will even joining us at some point to say hello and answer any questions you might have!
