About Us

Creative Active Live CIC is a not for profit organisation founded in 2019 by Rachel Conlisk.  Its a world class entertainment and workshop company, and invests profits into educational, enrichment for wellbeing, and physical activities for people with physical or learning disabilities, Autism, Dementia, ADHD, people who are financially disadvantaged or experiencing social isolation.

Since 2019 we have been running weekly Autism Friendly Minecraft Clubs in partnership with Club Minecraft which have gone from strength to strength and had an incredible impact on the childrens’ self confidence and self esteem, they have built new friendships and learned new skills.   In 2023 we launched our own Minecraft server, MineMania, to allow us to increase the number of sessions and activities we offer.

We have seen that over the years the children have grown in skills and confidence and have started to take the initiative to want to design their own sessions and take on more leadership.   To support them in this we have now taken the step of creating our own private server.

We will co-design our lobby, games world, and mini games with our members, and provide the opportunity for them to do classes in coding, design, command blocks, Redstone and more.

When members feel confident we can have member led collaborative sessions.

Classes and Safety

Our weekly sessions are led by DBS checked, experienced tutors. Admin and Director Rachel Conlisk is Designated Safeguarding Lead and holds a Level 3 Safeguarding Certificate.

These are inclusive and autism friendly and aimed at ages 7-14. We plan to do sessions for older teenagers, adults, and parents or carers who want to be able to talk about Minecraft to their kids.

MineMania membership allows players access to the server outside of session times, with a few Member perks!

We have controls in place to prevent griefing and stealing of stuff, and members must agree to our Code of Conduct to be able to join MineMania.

POP UP MINECRAFT LAN GAMING WORKSHOPS

We offer in-person, in real life sessions! We can take our pop-up LAN Gaming workshop out to your community group, school or event. We bring 12 laptops, 1 set of assistive tech (assistive joystick and large easy touch buttons) that allow for a player who cannot easily use a keyboard to play.

Up to 12 children can play together in our secure private world. Click here to see what it looks like, feedback and booking.
